What to have ready
None of this is essential — ring first and we’ll work it out — but having it to hand makes the call about a minute long instead of five.
- Where the vehicle is. A postcode, a junction number or a what3words.
- Make, model, car or van. The base rate differs between the two.
- What it’s doing. Won’t start, won’t steer, accident damage, flat battery.
- Whether you have the key, and whether an automatic will go into neutral.
- Where it needs to go. A garage, home, a compound — or ask and we’ll suggest one.
After you ring
What happens next
- You get a price on the call. Not a callback, not a range.
- We agree a time. Straight away for a breakdown, or a booked slot for a planned move.
- You get a text with the driver’s name and the arrival window before we leave.
- You pay when it’s done. Deposits only apply to booked jobs, not roadside callouts.
If you would rather not ring, the quote form gives you the same price and we’ll call you back.
Emergencies
If the vehicle is in a live lane, on a blind bend, or anywhere traffic is passing close, get everyone out and behind a barrier before you do anything else, then ring us. On a motorway that means beyond the hard shoulder and up the bank, not standing beside the car.
If anyone is hurt, or the vehicle is blocking a carriageway, ring 999 first. We can be moving while you are still on the phone to them.
Trade and account work
We move vehicles regularly for garages, dealers and auction buyers across Lanarkshire and Glasgow. If you are shifting several vehicles a month it is worth a conversation about a standing arrangement rather than pricing each job individually. Ring the same number and say it is trade work.
